An expanded version of the Olympic Development Program, Colorado Select offers development and next-level identification opportunities to elite players and those who want to become elite. Colorado Select is available to all players and will offer a year-round supplemental training and development program to selected pool players in addition to international and domestic showcase opportunities for identification at the college, professional and youth national team level.

Colorado Select will replace the Colorado Olympic Development Program in order to allow our players and teams expanded opportunities for exposure at Regional and National ODP events in addition to other highly selective and scouted events. We want to offer Colorado Soccer Association players the best opportunity for identification at their personal “next level” and we feel confident that by expanding our vision and opportunities beyond ODP, our players will get better competition, more opportunities for identification, and a better overall experience.
CO Select is divided into 3 platforms:
In an effort to offer players throughout the entire state, CSA offers two Colorado Select options. This has been done to make the program available geographically to as many players as possible.

Front Range CO Select (2008-2013 Birth Years)

Mountain Region CO Select (2008-2013 Birth Years) Mirrors the Front Range CO Select Program but all sessions are held on the Western Slope to assist with travel for families.

Young Olympians (2014, 2015 Birth Years) A pre-CO Select program that allows players the chance to participate in regionalized training sessions and be evaluated by the State Coaching Staff.
Young Olympians Program, also known as CO Select YOP is designed for the players that are a year (or two) younger than those trying out for the State ODP teams. The goal of the YOP is to facilitate a high-level training environment and offer the participants opportunities to train and compete with other aspiring players from around the state. The YOP provides to players an introduction to CO Select, the opportunity to become familiar with the training curriculum used by CO Select and showcase their abilities to our CO Select coaching staff. The program provides a pathway to participate in ODP, a national process for identifying and developing the best male and female youth soccer players with the aim of promoting them to the U.S. National Teams. Players participating in this program will be automatically placed on the radar of the State ODP staff for future identification and recommendation for future State ODP Try-Outs.
The Young Olympians Program (YOP) will take place on (4) specific days traveling their location at four major regional locations - Colorado Springs, Central Denver, Northern Colorado, and the Western Slope. Player registration allows players to participate in all four training centers. Players must attend at least one session to be evaluated and considered for travel.
Program goals for the 2024-2025 season will include:

- (4) Additional training opportunities (September - May TBA)
- Our top 2014s will be chosen for our February event (Cal North Friendlies with 3 other State ODP programs).
2013 FRONT RANGE CO SELECT AND 2014 YOUNG OLYMPIANS:
These age groups will be traveling to and competing in the Northern California ODP Regional Event in early February. We will take two teams for each birth year (25-30 players) to represent Colorado.
Regional Staff Scouts will be present at this event to invite the top 2013s to West Region ODP Camp in July.
2025 Colorado select events
Colorado Select is planning on attending the following events. Events will vary by age groups (as listed). All these tournaments will be in addition to training.

Event: Cal North Friendlies Date: February 2025 Location: Northern California Age Groups: 2013, 2014 Birth Years
Event: We are looking to add another travel event in the spring of 2025 for our pool players so everyone who makes the pool will travel to an event with CO Select. Location: TBD Date: TBD Age Groups: 2012-2008
